| The second morning of the Rallye is grim indeed.Two mangled, headless bodies are still up in the Andes. Some of the greenhorns are seriously wondering what they have gotten themselves into. Many of them stumble about, with slitty red eyes and filthy clothes. They'll soon get used to it. About half the mechanics and pilots had no sleep at all, having arrived as late as 4:30 AM only to make major repairs until it was time for the 10 AM starting gun. |  |
